Kratos

Actually, the existence of Kratos is a matter of argument for those who deal with learning more about Greek mythology. Though, to be right it is better to say that it is not Kratos himself a matter of argument, but his position in Greek mythology. There are those who state that Kratos was a god of war and there are also those who state that Kratos is just a hero and has nothing to do with gods.
One way or another but Kratos was a great warrior who helped Athene to get rid of war with Ares. Ares was the cruelest god of Olympus and he was thirsty for war. So, one day he decided to wage a war against Athens. And Athene wasn't able to do something in order to protect her city. Actually, she was able though she wasn't allowed, as there was a law that forbid gods to wage war between each other.
So, Athene asked for help of Kratos. Kratos was smart and mighty and he was armed with two swords of chaos. Those swords were tied to his hands with strong chains. Though, Kratos wanted to get to Athens and find the chamber of Pandora. That chamber was a matter of fear not only for people but for gods also. Though, on his way to Athens he met a goddess of wisdom and she managed to change his mind.
So, Kratos came to Athens and manage to defeat those who were sent by Ares in order to ruin Athens. According to some specialists, that was the moment when Kratos was proclaimed as god of war. And he was much wiser than Ares and was just as mighty as Ares. Though, there are those who state that Kratos remained as hero till the end of his life and has never been a god of war.
