Mythology

Mythology is a corpus of stories about gods and heroes. It is the mythology that tells us about every god, about history of its birth and about its life. It is like historical records we have today, though those records deal with null personalities. Those personalities have never existed indeed; they were present only in minds of people. According to mythology it was the Olympus Mountain where gods lived. Though, the real Olympus Mountain was minds of people who created it.
Sure, there were no gods who settled on the Olympus and watched after people on the earth, though they settled in the minds of people. As you can see, mythology is not just a historical record, it is a record of minds and mentality of ancient people, ancient Greeks. There are a great number of myths the Ancient Greece Mythology consists of. The more gods were in the minds of people the more myths about those god appeared.
If recognizing ancient Greek gods and belief in them as religion, the body of stories we call as myths should be recognized as an analogue for Holly Bible or Koran etc. It is the same with holly books of any religion. The birth of every god is described there and its life also. There also description of their characters and tempers, and things people have to do in order to please one or another god.
So, the mythology of ancient Creeks may be recognized as recorder of their religion. It is a broad world full of adventures and mysteries. It is a world full of heroes and mysterious creatures, world full of emotions and beliefs. It is a world in which people embodied their vision of the world and their beliefs.
